Peripheral vision Science

Kia ora whānau,

At science, we had learned about peripheral vision.

Peripheral vision is very important, without it, you will not see any dangers coming from different sides where you are not able to look without fully moving the human body, like for example –
Imagine that you had no peripheral vision and a bird was flying towards you from the
sides and you couldn’t see it, you could only rely to your hearing, and since birds fly fast, the bird would’ve probably hit your head by now.

There is something called retinitis pigmentosa, I had learned about it when my science teacher had mentioned it to the class, it is a mass of rare eye diseases that could affect the retina.

if you do not know what a retina is then the description down below will help you know what  a retina is.

A retina is the light-sensitive tissue layer in the back-eye, which means that if you have this disease, it 1. leads to the blindess of the human eye . 2 or causing the blindness in humans.

if you are trying to find out wether different shapes or colors are easier or possibly harder to see with the peripheral vision, then

here is  the image for the test  and what to do and how to do it

1 Grab a semicircular shape like a protracter and a pen with a lollipop stick.

2 with the protractor put it against the nose and grap the lollipop stick make sure  to color it.

3 look at the pin and with the lollipop stick move it  closer  until you can see  it with your prerephiral vision.

and I can also show you a picture of the chart that my groups progress in it was

if you want to  know the smallest number means good because larger numbers can make up to a bigger amount of range like for example 1° is to the side of your face and 180° is like a semicircle

and a full  360 means all the way around just like a circle

I hope that you have a great day and an awesome rest see you later.
